USE OF THE SHAPE OF THE TRANSPORT NETWORK FOR EVALUATION OF THE SERVICE ACCESSIBILITY
Černický, David ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Laštovička, Josef (referee)
This thesis deals with factors influencing the average speed on Czech roads. Curvature and inclination of the slopes were selected among the main factors influencing the average speed. Until now, these factors have been considered at discrete intervals, not as continuous functions. The function for calculating the curvature is based on ČSN 73 6101, where the equation with all variables is directly defined. The functional relationship for the movement of vehicles in sloping terrain was created from data from scientific articles. Therefore, an algorithm was implemented in this thesis, which can automatically evaluate the average speed on the road network. Python was used to implement this algorithm. Furthermore, there is a testing section for travel times, which is validated using route planners and also supported by extensive field research. Testing took place in GIS using network analysis methods. Testing has shown that the inclusion of curvature and inclination will significantly improve the calculation of travel times. key words: network analyst, curvature, gis, algorithm
Multimodal urban planning with a focus on seniors
Papoušek, Jan ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
This thesis concerns with the issues of transit analysis in a transit network. In the theoretical part, based on the research of specialized literature, there are suggested parameters for creating a transit network regarding health condition of seniors. In the practical part, there is described the process of creating the transit network, creating parameters of movement in the transit network and analysis of the final ideal route using ESRI ArcGIS 10.5. extension Network Analyst. The final route is compared with the results of other commonly available platforms. Comparison of the results confirmed functionality of set parameters and showed possibilities for further use. Key words: Transit network, network analysis, Network Analyst, ESRI ArcGIS 10.5., routing problem, parameter
Retail Availability in the South Bohemian Region
ROKŮSKOVÁ, Iva
The main aim of my thesis is to evaluate the availability of a retail network of hypermarkets in South Bohemia region with help of ArcGIS 10.2 software. The retail availability is evaluated by using basic models and tools, that are commonly used in practical application. Availability is evaluated by Huff model, Thiessen polygons, Buffer and network-based on spatial analysis tools called Network Analyst. I researched companies in the region, which have at least one hypermarket. These companies are AHOLD Czech Republic, a.s., Globus ČR, k.s., Kaufland Česká republika, v.o.s. a Tesco Stores ČR, a.s. The outcome is analysis of the availability of the selected type of retail units in the South Bohemia region and also proposing of modifications. I found that retail availability in this region is on the adequate level. Bachelor thesis also include a theoretical part, which deals with the definition of terms, that I use in this work.
Analysis of price, time and distance accessibility diferentitation in the Czech railroad system
Hanes, Zuzana ; Lysák, Jakub (referee) ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor)
Analysis of differences in price, time and distinct measures of accessibility for eské dráhy Abstract The main aim of this thesis is to resolve the issue of accessibility in the passenger rail network of eské dráhy in the Czech Republic. Secondary objectives are the analysis of distance, time availability, and price of passenger rail service. The main sources are the Railway Timetable 2009 and the geographic database Arc R 500. Basic tool for the processing is geographic information system (GIS) with extension Network Analyst. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a database with the values of distance, time availability and price. Secondary aims are to produce partial maps which present various types of accessibility. Part of the results are also the methodology for establishing different kinds of accessibility, the evaluation of methods used, and quality assessment models used in relation to the database and partial results of comparison with the literature. Keywords: transport accessibility, rail transport, network analysis, accessibility, availability of models, Network Analyst
Retail availability in the Vysočina region
BOUZKOVÁ, Renata
This bachelor thesis deals with retail availability in the Vysočina region. Hypermarkets were chosen as retail units. There are 14 hypermarkets in Vysočina and they are operated by three companies: AHOLD Czech Republic, a.s., Kaufland Czech Republic, v.o.s. and Tesco Stores ČR, a.s. The main target is to define the most optimal locations for these hypermarkets and compare it with the current existing locations. Key term definition as retail, gravity models, geographic information system and spatial analysis are in the first part of the project. The practical part of the project is about the various methods of how to determine the retail availability. This is realized by application of Thiessens polygons, packaging zones in hypermarkets (buffers), service zones modeling using network analysis tools in the Network Analyst and application of Huff's gravity model. It is important to get experience with the user environment of software ArcGIS, which has been used for analyzes and after that for maps visualization. Based on the results are recommended possible solutions how to improve the future configuration of the retail network.
